Nestled in the serene wilderness of the African bush, Elephant Valley Lodge enjoys a spectacular position overlooking the Lesoma Valley in Botswana’s Chobe District—an area famed for hosting the largest concentration of African elephants on Earth.
Set away from the busier regions of Chobe, this tented lodge on the outskirts of Kasane offers a peaceful retreat, where nights are filled with the natural soundtrack of the bush.
Wildlife and birdlife roam freely through the valley, moving between the game-rich conservation areas of Chobe National Park and the neighbouring national parks of Zimbabwe.
From the comfort of the lodge, guests can observe a fascinating parade of animals—both large and small—as they gather at the lodge’s waterhole for a refreshing drink.
Guests at Elephant Valley Lodge can enjoy a range of memorable activities, including daily 4x4 game drives and scenic boat cruises along the Chobe River within Chobe National Park.
For those wishing to explore further afield, day trips to the iconic Victoria Falls—either in Zambia or Zimbabwe—can be easily arranged.
The lodge offers 20 spacious en-suite safari tents, thoughtfully equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities, fans, hairdryers, charging points, and private showers and toilets. Eight tents overlook the valley and waterhole, while twelve are tucked among lush forest lawns, offering a more secluded forest setting. During the winter months, evenings can be cool; guests are advised to bring warm clothing. For added comfort, electric blankets are provided to ensure a cozy night’s sleep.
